Job Opportunity: Project Management Specialist (Journeyman)

Overview:
Innovatus Technology Consulting is seeking a motivated Project Management Specialists at the Journeyman level to support Department of the Navy and DoD programs at Naval Air Station Patuxent River. In this role, you will provide critical project and program management support by applying analytic techniques to evaluate objectives, track progress, manage resources, and deliver actionable insights to program leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply analytic techniques to evaluate program and project objectives  
• Analyze requirements, status, budgets, schedules, and associated risks  
• Perform management, technical, or business case analyses as required  
• Collect, complete, organize, and interpret technical and programmatic data related to acquisition and product programs  
• Track program/project status, budgets, resources, schedules, and milestones  
• Prepare reports, briefs, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders  
• Support planning, execution, and monitoring of projects throughout the acquisition lifecycle  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, government customers, and contractors to ensure alignment with program goals

Qualifications:

Journeyman Level  

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or related field  
• 3–10 years of progressive experience in project/program management support within DoD or federal environments  
• Demonstrated ability to track budgets, schedules, and resources independently

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
• Ability to organize and present complex data clearly and concisely  
• Familiarity with DoD 5000-series acquisition policies is highly desired

Preferred (but not required)

• Experience with Navy NAVAIR or Pax River programs  
• Prior experience using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or SharePoint for program tracking
